The Bridgeton Fire Department staffs two Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances, with New Jersey certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT) and Firefighter/EMTs, twenty four hours a day, seven days per week. When available, on duty firefighters can staff additional ambulances when needed during times of high call volume. In addition, extra ambulances are staffed during special events and major emergencies. Providing service to the City of Bridgeton, Hopewell Township, Stow Creek Township, Greenwich Township and Shiloh Boro, Bridgeton Fire Department EMS covers 76.2 square miles with a combined population of 32,671 (2010 U.S. Census).
