Local Enforcing Agency
The City of Bridgeton Fire Department is the local enforcing agency who is responsible for the enforcement of the Uniform Fire Safety Act within the City of Bridgeton, Hopewell Township, Greenwich Township, Stow Creek Township, Shiloh Borough, Fairfield Township, Downe Township, and Alloway Township. Inspections are performed annually for life hazard and non-life hazards uses. Permits are issued by the Fire Official. All businesses within these towns must register with the City of Bridgeton Bureau of Fire Prevention.

Jack Justice Jr. serves as the appointed fire official overseeing a staff of 3 full time fire inspectors, as well as 4 part time fire inspectors. Inspectors work varying schedules, so if you need to contact them utilize their email or contact the Bureau of Fire Prevention at (856) 451-0091. The office is staffed Monday- Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
